App Smashing Tutorial – Noteflight with Soundtrap

App smashing can help your students and your school adopt the very best learning strategies. The term was coined by a former history teacher and current education technology expert, Greg Kulwiec, in 2013. In this blog, we’ll show you how to app smash using Noteflight with Soundtrap

What is App Smashing?

App smashing refers to smashing together multiple apps in combination with each other to complete a task. You can create something in one app and then go to another and create a completely different element of your project. Finally, you’ll merge the content together to create a final product.

Why App Smash?

App smashing involves several different applications working together. App smashing involves creative thinking from your students, maximizes the value created by your applications, and often results in more engaging final products. As long as students clearly understand what they want to achieve and have an outline of the project, they can build a more efficient end result through app smashing.

App Smashing with Noteflight

Using Noteflight Learn, students and teachers can access composition features, like creating, editing, and printing scores and parts. Plus, the ability to hear music from over 85 professional quality instruments is made possible through Noteflight.

The customizable score editor in Noteflight is easy enough for beginners yet advanced enough for any professional. In the score editor, any score can instantly become an assignment with a unique copy automatically created for your student.

In this video, you’ll be able to App Smash using Noteflight and Soundtrap.

First, open Noteflight to your student’s saved project.

Then, export your Noteflight project to Soundtrap using the top icon.

In Soundtrap, your project will export, and you can begin to edit it immediately.

Change your instruments.
