- In groups of three you will compose a piece of music.
- Each person in the group is responsible for one of these roles: overall production (automation, sound effects, mixing etc.), melodic/harmonic elements and rhythmic/beat/percussive elements
- All within the group are responsible for finding the inspiration for the music and reflecting this in their portion of the music and well as the structure of the music & how this develops.
- Identify an inspiration for the music.
- The composition should be between 2-3 minutes and show development of inspired ideas, have a clear structure, a combination of loops, synth input notes and live instruments/sounds.
- The composition must use automation and effects creatively and can you may have vocals, instruments or mix.
*** Roles in the group:
- Melodic/harmonic elements
- Loops (at least 6 tracks)
- Synth input notes (at least one track)
- Real instruments recorded via a microphone (at least one track)
- Beat/percussive elements
- Loops (at least 4 tracks)
- Beat maker track (at least one track)
- Real instruments recorded via a microphone (at least one track)
- Producer + sound effects
- Automate (volume, pan, sweep)
- Apply effects to tracks as desired
