End of Year Guide

🎶 Cue: Closing Time 🎶 You’ve made it to the end of another school year. Your students have more creativity in their lives because of your encouragement and support. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

As we wrap up the end of another school year, we wanted to share resources to help you and your students end the year smoothly with Soundtrap. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our support team.

💌 Lesson Plan: Letter to a Future Class 💌

  • Looking for a fun activity for the end of the year? Have students write and record a letter to future class. At the start of next year, you can play it for your new set of students!

 

🎼 How Do I Preserve My Soundtrap Projects? 🎙️

  • We recommend that every user downloads their Soundtrap projects before they end the school year.
  • There is no “mass export” option to download all Soundtrap projects or an entire folder of projects. Depending on how many projects you wish to keep, this could take some time.
  • I recommend creating a Google Drive folder, Wakelet, or Padlet and storing the Soundtrap projects there.

 

🪑 How Do I Unassign Seats? 🪑

  • This option is best for students who will be using Soundtrap next school year.
  • Users with an unassigned seat will retain their account and projects, however they may not be able to log into their account and may not be able to collaborate with their teacher or peers.

 

❌ How Do I Delete Users ❌

  • This option is best for graduated students and educators who will not be a part of next school year.
  • Once user accounts have been deleted, any data within those accounts will be deleted as well and cannot be recovered.
  • If your EDU account is connected to any LMS Integration, you must reach out to Soundtrap support instead.
  • Only EDU Owners/Administrators can delete user accounts.

  • This support resource is best for accounts that use an LMS integration or for individual teachers who would like to clean up their groups.
  • When in doubt, create a support ticket.
