Activity/Project |
- Open a blank template in the Soundtrap studio.
- Click on the loop browser in the top-right. Click on the down arrow to open the loop filters. Choose the drum filter.
- Click on a loop once to hear it. Select a drum loop and drag it into your project.
- Create a new track and choose any of the software instruments (Guitar & Bass, Piano & Keyboards, Drum Kits, Synthesizer, Strings, or Brass & Woodwinds).
- Choose a preset and press the keys on your computer keyboard that correspond to the notes on the instrument. Experiment until you find a sound you like that works with the drums you already added.
- Press the record button and record yourself playing the virtual software instrument.
- Save and download your work.

- Inspired and influenced by personal experiences, students identify additional song traits, the feeling & genre.
- Based on that, the project contains at least 4 ADDITIONAL tracks other than “loop”
- Students will share composition with the class and/or online community.
